- A list of recommendations to the foundation on the best course of action
Ted Cahall Joins the ENF
On Sunday the 6th of February, Bywire News broke the news that Ted Cahall, former Block.one Chief Operating Officer, has been officially hired by the EOS Network Foundation to fulfill the same role.
On top of bringing with him a deep understanding of EOS/EOSIO/Mandel, Ted Cahall’s work experience includes impressive positions such as Corporate Vice President of Microsoft, Divisional President at Time Warner, CTO at CNET Networks and Vice President of Bank of America.
As one of his roles as COO, Ted will be overseeing all of the ENF sponsored working group initiatives and has already began participating in the EOSIO+ WG last week.
Fractally’s Brand Identity and Mandel 3.0 RC 1
Last week the Fractally team released the Mandel 3.0 RC1 update to the EOSIO code along with some more branding materials, such as the above video.
As promised in their roadmap published on December 19th, 2021, Fractally released Mandel 3.0 on Github on January 31st. Mandel 3.0 will:
- Enable larger contracts that run faster than ever.
- Enable more powerful data access and proofs for IBC via “action return values”.
- Set the foundation for smart-contracts to pay for transactions on behalf of users.
- Give the ability to read the contract version of another account, which helps with security and performance, through the “get code hash” feature.
While on the topic of Fractally, James Mart, who recently joined the Fractally team, has published a video showcasing his use of the new smart-contract writing tool built by Fractally called CLSDK.
James Mart also recently published a /Rant on the topic of exchange voting and mechanism neutrality.
