In Pursuit of Independence, ENF Hires Three Senior EOSIO Engineers
At the heart of the EOS Network Foundation’s (ENF) mission is securing the future of the EOS public network by enabling developers, businesses, and individuals to build on EOS. Perhaps nothing is more essential for doing so than ensuring we attract, and retain, top developer talent within our ecosystem.
To stem the exsanguination that has occurred over the past few years, the ENF has already been focused on providing access to the resources needed by various teams building on EOS through the funding of projects and initiatives such as Pomelo, ENF Sponsored Working Groups, Eden, ClarionOS (now Fractally), and direct recognition grants to projects that have made important contributions to the EOS ecosystem.
The ENF is pursuing a strategy of supporting a decentralized but united community of developers, and has intentionally steered away from replicating the centralized, walled garden development model of the previous era. The ENF will continue to support a broad coalition of individuals, teams, and companies to develop on EOS, and encourage stakeholders to set development initiatives such as what we’ve seen as a result of the Blue Papers.
In considering the means by which we can retain developers who may otherwise find themselves adrift, or exploring options outside of the EOS ecosystem, we have moved to hire a small group of highly skilled senior EOSIO engineers as members of the core team of the ENF.
Today the #ENF had offer letters accepted by 3 of the top #EOSIO engineers in the world.
Securing this talent for the #EOS ecosystem will ensure that the network remains robust & competitive long term as we lay out our multi-year roadmap + strategy stemming from the Blue Papers.

There are various benefits for EOS and the EOSIO ecosystem with this approach:
- Developers have a stable base of support from which to contribute to EOS.
- Developers will work for the network as a whole, may occasionally work as a team, and could provide support to different teams within the community.
- Provides a stop loss mechanism for retaining top talent within the EOS ecosystem.
- Creates capacity for independent technical review of development estimates and timelines.
- Ability to drive community approved, directed, and time-sensitive initiatives.
- Ability to act as standardized cost alternatives to ensure reasonable contract bids.
- Allows the community flexibility when presented with time constraints.
The ENF’s internal engineering team will focus their upcoming efforts on supporting the Blue Paper proposals and the consolidated roadmap that comes out of them. Additionally, they will be able to offer significant cost savings to EOS token holders by providing the ENF with the opportunity to bid on future development work proposed out of the EOSIO+ working group, which would be funded by all of the EOSIO networks rather than by EOS itself. At the same time, they will be able to prioritize the features and demands of the EOS network first and foremost.
The EOS Network Foundation will continue to adapt to the changing needs of the EOS community and to secure necessary resources for the network. The ENF is committed to working closely with, and reflecting the will of all stakeholders. This includes seeking compromise, allocating resources where needed, and looking out for the best interests of the network as a whole while respecting the individuals that comprise it.
More specific details regarding the developers in question will follow soon.
EOS Network
The EOS Network is a 3rd generation blockchain platform powered by the EOS VM, a low-latency, highly performant, and extensible WebAssembly engine for deterministic execution of near feeless transactions; purpose-built for enabling optimal web3 user and developer experiences. EOS is the flagship blockchain and financial center of the EOSIO protocol, serving as the driving force behind multi-chain collaboration and public goods funding for tools and infrastructure through the EOS Network Foundation (ENF).
EOS Network Foundation
The EOS Network Foundation (ENF) is a not-for-profit organization that coordinates financial and non-financial support to encourage the growth and development of the EOS Network. The ENF is the hub of the EOS Network, harnessing the power of decentralization as a force for positive global change to chart a coordinated future for EOS.
